Using the Commissioning Record
What this tool does
The Commissioning Record creates a structured record of measurements and installed equipment after a system is built. It preserves where, how, and under what conditions each value was obtained.
Before you start
Have the released configuration, site information, measurement date, instrument details and calibration date, and measurements available. For each measurement, identify the path or port and reference plane.
Steps
- Enter the site, released configuration, and measurement date. If this record corrects an earlier saved record, enter its saved ID.
- For each measurement, choose what was measured, identify the path or port, and select the reference plane. Enter a value or sweep range, frequency, criterion, conditions, and notes as applicable.
- Add equipment in place, including role, model, serial number, and calibration date for instruments. Note any substitutions.
- Add each deviation from the released configuration and describe relevant context in Notes.
- Choose Build the record and review the output. Copy or download it for the project file, or name and save it to Engineering Plans.
Reading the record
A measurement is meaningful in context. A reading at the equipment end may include the feedline; a reading directly at the antenna port does not. Record the reference plane so values can be compared correctly.
Important limits
A recorded value and stated criterion are not Telewave’s acceptance decision. The tool does not certify the installation. Acceptance remains an engineering decision, on request.
Next steps
Submit the record and released configuration to Telewave Engineering if you need acceptance review.
