Using Channel Change Comparison
What this tool does
The comparison identifies channels added, removed, or changed and screens each plan at the stated scope. It helps frame an engineering review when a channel plan changes.
Before you start
Prepare up to 64 channel rows per plan. Use one channel per line in the form name, TX MHz, RX MHz, power W. A single frequency means transmit-only; prefix a receive-only line with RX.
Steps
- Paste the existing plan into The plan you have.
- Paste the proposed plan into The plan you propose, or use Copy the plan I have into the proposal as a starting point.
- Open Screening scope and feedline and set the scope and feedline assumptions appropriate to the comparison.
- Choose Compare the two plans.
- Review structural changes and screening findings on both plans. Use Copy comparison or Download CSV if you need a working copy.
- Name and save the result to Engineering Plans when you want to retain it with project work.
Understanding screening results
A hit indicates a frequency coincidence under the selected screening scope. It does not state the interfering level, required isolation, or whether desense will occur.
Important limits
A clean screen is not a desense clearance. Required isolation and combiner figures come from Telewave Engineering on request. The comparison does not replace an engineering analysis or on-site measurements.
Next steps
Send the existing and proposed plans to Engineering with the site, equipment, and operating context for review.
