A starter bill of materials for a frequency / power / channel plan, with engineering caveats flagged inline. The sample below shows the output of one specific scenario. Members can run it against any configuration.
Sample scenario
- Use case
- Public-safety UHF repeater
- TX / RX
- 463.500 MHz / 458.500 MHz
- TX power
- 100 W
- Channels
- 4
- Site
- Tower-top, 60 m AGL
Recommended starter BOM
- Antenna ANT460-DB1 · Dual-dipole UHF 6.5 dBi · 450–470 MHz · 250 W Gain: 6.5 dBi
- Duplexer DPX-450-100 · 6-cavity 90 dB iso · 1.5 dB IL · 150 W Iso: 90 dB
- Isolator ISO-450-150 · Single junction 25 dB iso · 0.4 dB IL · 150 W Iso: 25 dB
Engineering caveats surfaced by the validator
- Warning Feedline run > 30 m will add ~1.2 dB of insertion loss at this frequency — consider 7/8" hardline.
- Assumption TX/RX separation of 5.0 MHz is within standard duplexer rejection; no preselector required.
