Using Antenna Selection

Antenna Selection filters catalogue antennas by frequency and selected constraints so you can compare published gain and beamwidth data. The tool helps identify candidates; it does not make or approve an antenna selection.

Set the selection criteria

  1. Enter the transmit or operating frequency.
  2. Optionally enter a second frequency for the receive side of a TX/RX pair.
  3. Choose any coverage type, omnidirectional, or directional / sector.
  4. Optionally set minimum gain and the widest sector beamwidth you will accept.
  5. Select Find antennas to view matching catalogue items.

Review the candidates

Compare the frequency coverage, datasheet gain and beamwidth, and the pattern status shown for each candidate. Gain and beamwidth are datasheet figures. A synthesized pattern is a visualization, not evidence of measured performance; only a pattern marked engineering-eligible can carry a selection. Copy the selection or download CSV for discussion.

Limits: Matching frequency and filters does not establish suitability for a site, mounting, wind loading, coverage objective, or system design. Nothing in the result is a recommendation. Telewave engineering makes the selection on request.
