Comparing a Channel Plan Change

Channel Change Comparison shows what changes between an existing channel plan and a proposed plan, then screens both plans for frequency coincidences at the selected scope. It helps frame a review; it does not determine whether a change is safe to deploy.

Enter both plans

Enter one channel per line in each plan using the format shown on the page: name, TX MHz, RX MHz, and power in watts. A single frequency represents transmit-only; start a line with RX for receive-only. You can copy the existing plan into the proposal and edit the proposed values. The page accepts up to 64 channels per plan.

Set scope and compare

Choose the screening scope and feedline assumptions that match the question. Select Compare the two plans to see structural differences and screening hits on each plan, including findings introduced or cleared by the change. Review the underlying frequencies and assumptions, not just the summary. Copy the comparison or download CSV to share the analysis.

Limits: A screening hit is a frequency coincidence to assess, not a signal level or a required isolation value. A clean screen is not desense clearance. Telewave engineering must determine required isolation, desense, and combiner figures for the specific system.
